Are you a reliable and professional Class C1 Driver looking for a varied role with minimal driving and no multi-drop pressure?
We are currently recruiting for an HGV Driver (Class C1) to join a well-established business in Southampton. This role offers a great balance between driving and customer-facing duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active and working independently.
The Role
Driving between just 2-3 local sites in Southampton
No multi-drop deliveries
Transporting and delivering equipment to customer locations
Collecting equipment and returning it to site
Occasional use of a company van for urgent or fast-track deliveries
Loading and unloading equipment
Providing excellent customer service whilst on site
Maintaining accurate delivery and collection records
Please note:
Approximately 30% driving and 70% physical delivery/collection work
A significant amount of walking is involved throughout the day
Requirements
Valid Class C1 Driving Licence
Valid Driver CPC Card
Good communication and customer service skills
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and walking
Reliable and professional approach to work
Able to pass a Basic DBS Check
Willing to participate in random alcohol and drug testing
Working Hours
Working on a rota basis, 40 hours per week:
06:00 - 14:00
14:00 - 22:00
Some weekend shifts required:
10:00 - 18:00
