Role Purpose
• To provide high-quality, compassionate care to an individual in their home, enabling them to live safely, comfortably, and as independently as possible
• Assist clients with maintaining independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support daily living activities in line with individual care plans
• Build positive and professional relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment always
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard the welfare of individual and family
• Be reliable, patient, respectful, and attentive to clients’ physical and emotional needs
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support with mobility and safe transferring where required
• Administer or prompt medication in accordance with care plans
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with household duties such as cleaning, for the individual
• Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, or outings
• Monitor and report changes in health, behaviour, or wellbeing as advised
• Maintain accurate daily records and care notes
• Work collaboratively with family members and other healthcare professionals
• Promote independence and encourage participation in daily activities

Requirements
• Previous experience in a Carer role essential
• Background in nursing
• Relevant care qualifications or willingness to undertake training
• Basic understanding of safeguarding and medication procedures
• This position works on a rota system in 12-hour shifts. Applicant must be flexible and dependable for varied shift patterns, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
