We are looking for a skilled, adaptable, and proactive IT Professional to join our growing team in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who can support and enhance a wide range of business-critical technology systems across a fast-paced hospitality environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure, including smart lock systems, hotel networks, business software, websites, payment platforms, and on-site technical equipment. You will work closely with internal teams to identify operational needs, resolve technical issues efficiently, and implement practical solutions that improve business continuity and service quality.
Manage and maintain keyless entry systems, including YALE
smart lock technology, ensuring reliable and secure operation across
the business.
· Support and maintain the hotel network infrastructure,
including Wi-Fi, access points, connectivity performance, and network
troubleshooting.
· Carry out the repair, maintenance, and configuration of
computers and other technical devices used throughout the
organisation.
· Oversee CCTV and wider security systems to ensure effective
monitoring, functionality, and compliance with operational
requirements.
· Maintain company websites, booking-related systems, and
payment gateways to support smooth day-to-day business operations.
· Update, support, and troubleshoot till systems and other
point-of-sale equipment.
· Monitor systems for software issues, infrastructure
weaknesses, and potential security risks, taking prompt action where
required.
· Assist in the testing, implementation, and improvement of
software and IT systems to enhance reliability and user experience.
· Work with management and team leads to understand system
requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
· Produce clear technical documentation and provide guidance
or basic training to users where needed.
· Create digital content and promotional materials for social
media and other advertising purposes when required.
Candidate Profile
· A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or
equivalent hands-on professional experience.
· Proven ability to support a broad range of IT systems,
including networks, servers, operating systems, security systems, and
end-user devices.
· Good working knowledge of Windows, Linux, network
administration, server maintenance, CCTV systems, smart keyless entry
systems, and general software troubleshooting.
· Experience with website administration, payment platforms,
and business software support would be advantageous.
· Familiarity with creative and desktop publishing tools such
as Adobe or Corel, as well as digital content creation, would be
beneficial.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the
ability to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
· Reliable and flexible approach, including availability to
respond when urgent system, software, or network issues arise in a
24-hour operating environment.
· Clear communication skills and the ability to work
effectively with colleagues across different departments.
