Broxtowe Borough Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to supply and construct a replacement tandem headstock at the Brinsley Headstocks site in Brinsley Village, Nottinghamshire.
The project involves the removal of the existing headstock, manufacture and installation of a new replacement structure, and completion of all associated construction works. The contract is expected to run for approximately 2 months, from mid-June to mid-August 2026.
The successful contractor will be responsible for delivering the works safely, to a high quality standard, and in compliance with all relevant UK legislation and council requirements.
This opportunity is open to UK-based suppliers, with a particular focus on SMEs and VCSE organisations.
Proven experience in construction or civil works, preferably involving timber or structural installations
Ability to manage site works safely under CDM Regulations 2015
Valid Health & Safety Policy and project-specific RAMS
Public Liability and Employers’ Liability Insurance
Experience working on public sector or local authority projects (desirable)
Capability to complete works within a defined programme
