We are seeking dedicated Family Support Workers to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and their families. The Family Support Worker role involves providing safe, nurturing and consistent support to vulnerable children and families. The Family Support Workers will work directly with children and young people, offering emotional reassurance, practical assistance and positive experiences that support their wellbeing and development. Safeguarding and the welfare of children are central to all aspects of this role
We are looking for Family Support Workers with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable children and families. Applicants should be caring, reliable and able to build positive relationships with children, young people and their families. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential (training can be provided). You must be able to work flexibly, including evenings and waking nights and follow professional boundaries and organisational policies. All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references, and safer recruitment procedures.
• Qualification or studies in Social Care, Youth Work, Children & Young People, Education, or similar (desirable).
• Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to motivate, engage, and build positive relationships with children.
• Good communication and basic record-keeping skills.
• Caring, reliable, and adaptable with a willingness to learn.
