We’re looking for an experienced, friendly *Mathematics Tutor* to provide in-person support to students in the *Southall* area. The ideal candidate can build confidence, improve exam technique, and tailor lessons to individual learning styles.
You’ll be tutoring students working towards *GCSE and/or A-Level Maths* (depending on your strengths), helping them strengthen core skills and achieve their target grades.
### Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured, engaging 1:1 maths lessons
- Assess current ability and set clear learning goals
- Explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods as needed
- Provide homework support and targeted practice questions
- Teach exam strategy and mark-scheme technique
- Track progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians (as required)
### Requirements
- *Proven tutoring experience* (private tutoring, tutoring centres, schools, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of *GCSE and/or A-Level Maths*
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, student-friendly way
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Enhanced DBS (preferred) or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
### Nice to Have
- Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related subject
- Experience supporting SEN learners (e.g., ADHD, dyslexia)
- Familiarity with AQA / Edexcel / OCR specifications
- If you have an A in maths GCSE and A-level thats perfect
### Schedule
- Flexible evenings and/or weekends
- Typical sessions: 1–2 hours
- Frequency: 1–2 sessions per week per student (may vary)
### Pay & Benefits
- *£15 per hour*
