Senior Health Care Assistant/ Senior Support Worker - The Agency (Manchester) Ltd.

We are a Nursing and Care Agency, our office is based in Northenden, Manchester and we supply staff to Care Homes within Greater Manchester, Stockport and Tameside.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Senior Carer with an NVQ or Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care. You will need great record keeping and time management skills. That will mean planning and implementing the kind of care that will give the Residents in your care a real sense of security, dignity and independence.

Key Objectives of the Senior Role:

· To supervise and participate in the delivery of care to the Residents.

· To lead on the responsibility of residents individual care documentation ensuring a person centred approach.

· To be responsible for the safe administration of Medication.

· To work effectively within the home to ensure that the resident’s needs are met.

· Ensure that care plans and records are kept up to date.

· We expect our team to take pride in their work and interact with the clients within the homes; these will include clients with mental health and dementia issues, along with nursing needs.

· We expect our staff to work accordingly to the instruction of the person leading the shift within the home.

Requirements to apply for this role:

· Training Certificates that demonstrate you are fully trained in Medication Awareness and Administration.

· NVQ or Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.

· Certificates that demonstrate you are fully trained in Manual Handling and Mandatory Training.

· DBS (in date and clear) – If this is not available/older than 3 months, we can action this for you in the office for a small charge.

· Minimum 12 months’ work in a care home environment.

· Deliver excellent care for vulnerable groups and flexible with Day and Night shifts.
