Role Description
This is a full-time role for an AV and Events Warehouse Operative / Technician, located in Crawley. Our AV Warehouse Operative / Technician will be play a crucial role in supporting the logistics and technical operations of AV equipment for events, productions, and installations. This position involves a blend of technical proficiency, organizational skills, and teamwork to ensure the seamless preparation, maintenance, and dispatch of AV gear.
Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Preparation and Maintenance
• Inspect, clean, and test a wide range of AV equipment, including microphones, amplifiers, cameras, projectors, screens, communication systems, wireless microphones, and audio consoles.
• Ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition, correctly labeled, and matches job requirements.
2. Inventory Management
• Utilize management software to manage job sheets, track equipment, and raise any issues with Project Managers or the Warehouse Manager.
• Conduct regular stock checks of inventory.
3. Order Fulfillment
• Accurately check-in returning orders and prepare and pull orders for customers and productions, ensuring accuracy of equipment counts.
• Assist in ensuring that shows are prepped correctly, consistently, cost-effectively, and on time.
4. Health and Safety Compliance
• Support the day-to-day running of the AV warehouse, ensuring all areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
5. Customer Interaction
• Interact with internal and external customers in the warehouse, providing assistance and information as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with AV equipment such as moving lights, LED fixtures, and control systems.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage inventory and equipment efficiently.
• Communication Skills: Effective interaction with team members and clients.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to lift and move heavy equipment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
