Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Carrying out deterministic safety analysis and probabilistic safety assessment
- Selecting and applying appropriate models and values for the fault scenarios
- Working with a range of stakeholders to obtain information relevant to the safety case, and produce technical reports in support of the safety cases
- Contribute to and carry out the assessment of safety case modifications, reviewing the existing safety case and determining whether the safety limits are being challenged
- Attendance and input to the design review process
- Contribute to ensuring modern best practice safety case methodologies and technologies are followed
- Involved in the maintenance and development of the safety assessment handbook, safety case production software and intranet
